About the Event
Julia Blair released her first album, Better Out Than In, on Crutch of Memory Enterprises in the spring of 2022. She’s following it up with her forthcoming sophomore album, ‘All My Important Things.’ Julia has been called “the Carole King of our time” - Graham Hunt. She weaves her “smooth country soul alto” - Pitchfork, together with razor sharp, heart-exposed lyrics, dense vocal arrangements and a rhythmic pop soul feel. She often leaves her listeners both heard and seen. She lives in Appleton, WI and also plays in the band DUSK.
Call Me Spinster - “They’re an Indie Rock Andrew’s Sisters armed with more instruments and grit. Amelia, Rachel, and Rosalie are Call Me Spinster. The trio come loaded with the traditional guitar and bass, adding banjo, glockenspiel and ‘trash percussion’ to zip through clever Pop, the instrumentation on their self-titled EP like an explanation point on the bright, airy and at time Doo Wop vocals.” -The Alternate Root
