The Poets Read Some Stuff Someplace in Milwaukee series is thrilled to welcome featured poet Kenyatta Lyrical Lioness Turner. In addition to acting as the current Poet Laureate of Racine, Kenyatta is a powerful performer with a lengthy history, having graced stages across the country along with performing on camera numerous times. Her website features videos and accolades earned over the years.

Milwaukee icon Tiffany Miller will bring her wildly uplifting and spirited poetry to the stage, along with work from Elias Sepulveda. Join us at 7pm on June 20th at Var Gallery & Studios in Walker’s point; this event has a $7 suggested donation, though nobody will be turned away at the door. As always, the gallery is an all-ages space with a full bar for patrons 21+ and has been curated by Sam Pekarske for its 11 installments.
