Julien Kozak is a 25-year-old singer/songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has a smooth voice and a style influenced by artists like James Taylor, John Mayer, and Ed Sheeran.

At 15, inspired one day by a guitar riff in a Bob Marley song, Julien decided to teach himself how to play the guitar. After a few years, Julien took to the stage at his high school talent show and amazed the audience with his cover of James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain”. Much to his surprise, the young audience was both moved and appreciative of Julien’s performance as he won the competition. 

After high-school, with no intentions of pursuing music, he moved to Norway to study outdoor guiding at a university and to be near his crush, a Norwegian girl who would visit the US each summer. After half a year of being homesick, he moved back to the US. Feeling lost and defeated he needed new direction.

Inspired by her, truly a ‘girl-next-door who moved away but kept in touch story, 

Julien picked his guitar back up and started writing his first songs. Realizing he could express his

feelings through song, Julien dedicated himself to becoming the best singer/songwriter and performing artist he can.

In his first year of gigging (2016), he played over 100 shows, released an original EP, and played Summerfest, the world’s largest music festival.

He is currently planning his first tour to the western US in fall of 2019.
