Rice Evans

My work reflects the subtle, nonessential influences that shaped me—things like magazines, crafts, reality TV, commercials, parental advice, and analog tech. These minor influences, though not always significant at the time, had a lasting impact on who I became. I've always been nostalgic, and revisiting these memories sparks creativity. They're like an earworm: not hugely important, but ingrained in my psyche. While I could create art about major events in my life, like my parent's divorce or relationships, I’m more drawn to the small, unnoticed influences that linger in my mind, like burrs on pants—unseen but worth acknowledging.
