My paintings are an amalgamation of childhood memories, the people I meet, the places I’ve been, and the conversations that stuck in my head. All 30 of these pieces act as little mementos of my lived experience; parts of me as large and important as my closest relationships, to as tiny as the funny graffiti I walked past on a day out. The majority of the imagery in these paintings was influenced by my developing life in Wisconsin. In just the past 3 years here, I have met the most incredible people and have had a ton of wonderfully unforgettable days. I insert the figure into bright and colorful shapes and patterns to pay homage to these memories and immortalize the happy moments I never want to forget.
