This series contains thirty interpretations of seraphim and cherubim. These spirits embody sacredness, divine wisdom, and protection. The highest angels in the Celestial Hierarchy, per Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, canonically reside in the physical presence of God. With this project, I visualize the broad reach of this divinity. The pieces depict the angels through varied forms and environments. Some are imagined, whether bodily or amorphous.  Others are interpolated in existing forms, like bugs, fungi, bathers or lovers. The pieces question where and how divinity can be seen, felt, and shared.
