I am a mother, artist and teacher who is always making things.  My messy hands enjoy the process based, tactile nature of art making.  I work quickly with recyclable materials and paper mache to create whimsical and playful sculptures, which I adorn with various accessories such as my sons’ old clothing, felt, pom poms and glitter.  The colorful, naive and childlike nature of my work references a desire to belong and find joy in an often difficult world.

Big Foxie is the name of a stuffed animal my oldest son loves.  He is Big Foxie.  These thirty pieces follow the story of Big Foxie and Big Little Foxie taking a walk on a beautiful summer morning.  Along the walk they stumbled on a beehive and were met with the consequences.
