The work I make is composed of plump, vibrantly textured soft sculptures whose forms are abstracted from fatty bellies, thighs, and other figurative parts. Through it, I ask questions about body and presence. I explore concepts about the ever-evolving dynamic between a person and their physical form. In the 30 x 30 x 30 exhibition, I examine the feelings of joy and sexual emotions- I’m fascinated with these two sensations, and how they can combine within a body to cultivate self-love.
